Sita Ramam Movie Review, Mrunal Thakur, Dulqeer Salman, Rashmika Mandanna

Movie Review

Romance has become inorganic today, so no authentic present-day story that tugs at your heartstrings can be told. About romantic movies comes Sita Ramam, a simple and emotional love story that calms the storm in people's hearts.

Sita Ramam stars as Dulquer Salmaan, the dog-boy of the Indian Entertainment Industry. Along with Mrunal Thakur and Rashmika Madanna, we see Sita, Ram and a little girl who changes the lives of these two star-crossed lovers in a story that tells a simple yet complex love story.

Storyline

Sita Ramam tells the story of Ram, an orphan soldier who does his duty and serves the country to the best of his ability. After it became known to the people that Ram had no one to write to him, the soldier started receiving letters from all over the world. Disillusioned with his newfound family members, Ram religiously responds to all but one letter.

Among the many letters he received was one from a woman named Sita, who claimed to be Ram's wife. Having no reply address in the successive letters, Ram writes his answers to Sita so that one day she will find him and deliver them to him.

Meanwhile, 20 years later, a young and brave Pakistani girl named Afreen is tasked with delivering a letter from Ram to Sita in India. Concerned about the money, he embarks on a mission to deliver the letter to Sita.

However, throughout the journey, Afreen discovers her central role in the love story of Ram and Sita and how she changes the fate of many lives around her. The story of Sita Ramam is not larger than life or full of intricate twists. This is a simple story of a simple person who really wants and deserves love.

When he found this love in a young girl, he honestly went for it. Sita had to keep her secrets, but after living with Ram and his ever-sacrificing presence, she realizes what kind of person he is. The story starts slowly, perhaps too slow for many to like, but eventually picks up the pace.

Mrunal Thakur

Mrunal Thakur as Sita is very graceful and nimble, but it was the bold and brave Afreen (played by Rashmika Madanna) who got the perfect redemption arc at the end of the film that did it for me. The character of Vishnu (played by Sumanth) is meant to confuse the audience and as his true motives are hidden till the end of the film, it seems like a ruse.

Being a fan of Dulquer Salmaan, there is no fault I can find in his portrayal of Ram, a simple, righteous and honest soldier. Ram is a man without any flaws and this is perhaps his greatest weakness.

The movie moves different settings and the scenes in Kashmir make you want to travel to the war situation. The film takes its time with many romantic moments between Sita and Ram, but the story falls a bit short when it comes to the intense fight scenes between the soldiers and the 'terrorists'.

The fact that the Indian Army always wins is a rich choice for the makers considering the main theme of the film is romance. However, a more realistic storyline would have been more interesting. The film has a melodious OST that resonates with the audience.

Romantic songs from Sita Ramam take the audience through a range of emotions, from the feeling of having butterflies, to Sita's guilt for lying to Ram, to the state of passion both the lovers feel for each other and finally to the state of restlessness after each other. to keep away from his lover.

I wish Ram and Sita had more time to learn about each other, and I wish Sita had told Ram who he really was before he went on his mission, but if I think about it, the story wouldn't have been a Sita-Ramam story. .

Chemistry

The chemistry between Ram and Sita was palpable and admirably, without any kissing scenes, the two actors, Dulquer and Mrunal managed to make the audience feel their emotions with their intensity.

The dialogues in the film are simple and to the point where there is not much dragging and beating around the bush. The final plot twist with Afreen's character is something I didn't see coming a mile away and I applaud the makers of the film for getting it right.

It may seem biased to call Sita Ramam a masterpiece, but the film is definitely one that will go down in the history of romantic war films.
